Casting rod designed for hover fishing for salmonids and excellent for perch with 3″ lures.Originally designed as a « Hover rod » for Salmon and Trout, the HVR 763 has also proved to be a perfect bass rod. It’s an exceptional rod for small shallow lures and vibrating lures such as Big O’s or Super Spots. This rod also handles small buzzbaits and stickbaits exceptionally well, and will also be at the top of its game for all Saltwater fishing finesse. The HVR 763 loads easily so you can cast light baits with precision, and excels in very clear waters where finesse is the key to success. On Salmon runs, « hover fishing » involves presenting baits just in front of the fish’s mouth. The tip must be very light to feel a Salmon coming to pinch the bait presented. But the blank must also have the power to handle an angry 40-pounder. What makes this rod unique is the combination of an incredibly light tip and a powerful, progressive blank.

These products are handmade directly in the brand’s American factories.
